Grandview Motel

Yes, it’s an inexpensive motel, but as far as inexpensive motels go, this is as good as it gets! I’ve stayed here twice now on my way through town, and both times I’ve had a really peaceful stay and a great sleep, setting me up perfectly to carry on on my journey in the morning. The rooms are clean and comfy, not sacrificing comfort for the simplicity. Air conditioning works well and the rooms are clean has all you need. I’ve felt safe (female traveling alone, so always tuned into this) and the location is quiet and easy to get to. The proprietor is really friendly and very kind and helpful!

Perfect as a stopover on our way back to Vancouver. Clean, comfy, quiet and close to the highway. Really good value.

Prior to our arrival the motel communicated with us over text and email, passing on a wealth of useful information. We opted for late check in which was arranged seamlessly. The room was cool with the air con already set for us, and the amenities were of good quality and plentiful. A comfortable bed made for a good night sleep and we left early to continue our journey so did not make use of the well appointed outdoor space with barbecues and benches though we definitely would have if we stayed a second night. A great location also with good access to city centre, shopping, fuel etc.

It is rare to find a motel that is both affordable and exceptionally clean, but this property exceeded expectations. The management is kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The pool was a pleasant retreat, and the rooms were cool, well-maintained, and spotless. The bed was quite firm — which I personally appreciated, though my partner found it slightly too firm for their preference. For those who may have difficulty with stairs, I would recommend requesting a room on the ground level. Additional amenities such as picnic tables, barbecue facilities, and complimentary ice from the office were thoughtful touches that added to the overall experience. The location is conveniently close to local amenities, yet the area felt quiet and safe throughout our stay. We observed no transient activity during our time there. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to others seeking a comfortable and affordable option.

Great for a quick visit to get to know Kamloops and explore the area around. I’m also glad that I found this place so I could travel with my dog. There’s a fee for the pets but honestly, it’s worth it in my opinion, especially if you’re traveling solo and cannot leave your furry baby behind :) I highly recommend it.

I lived at Grandview for my first month of law school at TRU, before I could move into my permanent spot. It was truly a lovely experience. Char and the rest of the team are so warm and friendly. The rooms are so clean and the amenities are awesome- you've got a pool, a barbecue, an outdoor space to hang out. I'd stay there longer if I needed to, so I very much recommend a short term stay as well!! ***Edit to add: a reviewer below me mentioned feeling safe as a solo woman traveling through. In the whole month, I never felt unsafe!

We stayed there as a large group, and were so happy. The staff were amazing and helpful, the rooms were nest and tidy. The location was close to the city, we would stay here again.

Really nice little motel run by a lovely lady, Maxine, who accommodated us arriving much later than planned by sending me a text message and staying in touch the whole time. Really great value for money, a very pleasant experience at the front desk so I was glad to see it was full by nighttime. Met another gentleman who also commented that he thought it was a great little place for a great price. I agree! I will definitely be back :)
